『マッデン NFL』と『タイガー・ウッズ PGA TOUR』の英語版発売

　エレクトロニック・アーツは、PS3用ソフトおよびXbox 360用ソフト『タイガー・ウッズ PGA TOUR 09（英語版）』と『マッデン NFL 09（英語版）』を、本日9月25日に発売した。

　『タイガー・ウッズ PGA TOUR 09』は、タイガー・ウッズをはじめとする20名以上のPGAトッププロや、何度も賞金女王に輝いているアニカ・ソレンスタムらが実名で登場するPGA TOUR公認ゴルフゲーム。本作には、タイガー・ウッズのコーチとして知られるハンク･ヘイニーが、プレイヤーの癖や得意な球筋を解析したうえで的確なアドバイスをしてくれる「アシスト機能」が搭載されている。ゲームモードは、「ストローク」、「スキンズ」、「ベストボール」、そして世界中のライバルたちと腕を競える「オンラインモード」などを収録。さらに、ボールを的に当てたり、飛距離を競ったりする8種類のミニゲームも楽しめる。コースはぺブルビーチ、セントアンドリュース、リビエラCCなど実在のコースが15種類用意されている。

　一方の『マッデン NFL 09』は、NFL公認の『マッデン NFL』シリーズ最新作。リアルなグラフィックがさらに進化して、まるでTV中継を観ているかのような臨場感を味わえる。アメフトの攻撃や守備に関する4種類のミニゲームをプレイすることで初心者でも基本操作をマスターできる「マッデン・ドリル」や、昨シーズンの名場面をプレイヤー自身が再現できる「マッデン・モメント」など新機能を追加。オンラインでは、世界中のマッデンユーザーと対戦が可能となっており、勝敗によってランキングが上下する「ランクマッチ」、気軽に遊べる「プレイヤーマッチ」、そしてファン待望の「オンラインリーグ」などが楽しめる。
